Vegan & Chic: Matt & Nat Laroux Clutch

I have been familiar with Matt & Nat‘s faux leather accessories for many years and I’m always excited to see this eco-friendly, vegan brand growing and evolving. Their Spring/Summer 2010 collection was inspired by of my favorite looks: the glam rock/chic punk, with lots of brassy metal and studs. No wonder I fell in love with this rocker clutch at first sight, and once again it happened at Kaight (you’re getting how dangerous it is for me to walk in this store). I had been looking for clutch/small purse that would be easy to carry around on my long Summer walks, but also versatile. For a small purse, this one has a multitude of pockets—some that I didn’t even notice when I purchased it— and the chain strap comes off, so you can carry it as a clutch too.

A little note on the inside of the purse informed me the material was made out of 9 recycled plastic bottles, proving that you don’t have to sacrifice style by opting for products that are ethically and ecologically friendlier. In fact, the materials and the finish are so high-quality that people are always surprised when I tell them the bag is vegan. I wish more brands would start following the example soon.
