Launched in 2004, the year Melissa made a hugely successful comeback through partnerships with renowned designers and a line of fashionable shoes for grown-ups; the Herchcovitch Scarfun Wedges are now a classic. They remind me of Barbie shoes, not just because of the plastic, but the irresistible hot pink. Luckily, I’m not Barbie. My hair hasn’t gotten all tangled and puffy, my eyebrows haven’t been scratched out and I still have both shoes.
