These shoes had been hidden in my closet for over two years—I mean two whole years—until last week. I wasn’t sure if they were still acceptable, as I’m no longer as “edgy” (aka. young) as I used to be.  But, with age comes wisdom, and with just enough of it one can figure out that simplifying your outfit can create enough room for that one big-statement piece. Last week, the accessories that complemented my black leggings and oversized black t-shirt dress were these Melissa shoes by Karim Rashid. If you have something like this hiding in the depths of your closet: fear not; the compliments I received suggested proved 2006 might still be in.
